After a tight round of voting (and some MASSIVE turnout), we're pleased to award the first-ever Duchovvy Award to... Michael Tolkin, Mimi Rogers, and the Duchovster himself, in the category of "Douchiest And Most Pretentiously Meandering DVD Commentary Known to Man." The threesome earned their award for the fine work they did on the voice-over of "The Rapture," a film which opens with a furniture store orgy but somehow merited great voice-over digressions about Dostoyevsky and Moliere.
No, seriously. DOSTOYEVSKY.
Until this long-winded triumvarate makes their way to the Bay Area to receive their award, we're putting the Duchovvy Awards on an indefinite suspension. In the meantime, enjoy those fine nominated videos below, and enjoy this delightful piece from the melodic and lyrically gifted Bree Sharp:
DUCHOVNY (dew - kuv - nee) (v): To engage in melancholy, high-risk sexual behavior without ever altering one's expression. Optional: Lookin' fine doin' it.
